Part of our job is to keep clients & actors comfortable and happy. Proper coffee is available in the studios - plus fresh fruit and scrumptious biscuits. Tea - choose from around twenty varieties/flavours - is available on demand. Meals can be fetched from the many local restaurants and sandwich bars - and will be included on your invoice at cost price. Taxis can be pre-booked as required.
Our rates are realistic and fair. But to keep them that way, and to efficiently manage the large number of sessions every day, we have to charge for time confirmed plus any over-runs used. Unused but confirmed time will be charged. If you need advice, please ask to talk to any engineer.
Cancellations - normally 50% if confirmed bookings are cancelled within 48 hours of the booking, and 100% within 24 hrs.
This may all seem harsh, but otherwise we'd have to add 50% to our hourly rates!

Almost every day across the UK you'll hear some of our work. Most weekdays "live" PR multibroadcasts (or down-the-lines) can be heard on local BBC and commercial radio stations. Many regional studios use us as their preferred choice when using London voices for commercials using ISDN or Source Connect. For BBC national radio - mainly Radio Four & Radio 3 - we're used for "roundtable" discussion and review programmes, or to record interviews for documentaries, or links for music programmes. For TV we do many links & narration packages for BBC & production companies - including most days on the "One Show", and UK reversions on Discovery. On childrens TV e.g. 5's Milkshake, you'll see many animated series recorded (& in some cases cast & directed) here.
But it's not just about broadcast - you'll hear us on all Vodafone 'phone prompts (and many other companies); distance-learning projects; safety & training programmes; corporate videos; in-store video displays for such wonders as Doktor Power and the Sonic Clean Between Machine; sports highlights programmes - and ADR for UK actors on some Canadian TV series. The list goes on...
The Sound Company has seven audio studios and a TV/video 4-waller. We record & mix voiceovers for commercials, TV programmes, corporate videos, multimedia CD-ROM's, 'phone prompts, video games, training programmes, new media - not just in English, but also in languages that you may never have heard of! We have a passion for sound. We won't let you down.
