Being based in an old Victorian school, some of our studio spaces can be pretty quirky.

Studio Six is extremely versatile (like all our studios) - designed from experience of the needs of clients. It's on a mezzanine floor with a producer's desk, and lots of natural light. Via a little conservatory, there is access to a smoking area and roof garden. The voice booth will accommodate 2 voices and is in a slightly elevated position - up a short solid maple staircase.Scroll down...

Adjoining this studio is a 2-sofa lobby area with a cam feed to/from the voice booth & control room (or Pro Tools picture video feed) with talkback and audio monitoring. Very useful as an overflow, an office base during long sessions, or somewhere to put chattering clients. Bags of daylight via large roof windows. Wireless internet.

Broadcast TV & Radio, Corporate, Multimedia, Web Podcasts - wild or to MOV/QT, ISDN, "live" multibroadcasts - the list goes on...

Studio Engineer: Nick Murphy
In 2002, Nick achieved a Distinction at Alchemea College of Audio Engineering. He then moved to The Voice and Music Company as a runner. After 2 years Nick moved from Post Production to Broadcast, working as a Sound Op for XLeague.tv, an eSports channel on Sky, then becoming Assistant Sound Supervisor for XLeague's parent company, Portland TV. Nick was responsible for audio on all studio recordings and often sent out on location. The shows Nick worked on won two Game Media Awards. Work included VO records/mix for various publications and newspapers, sound design and music composition for the complete re branding of the channel.

When XLeague was folded down, Nick was thrown a line by The Sound Company. Based in Studio 6 where apart from voice records and Sound Design he still gets to indulge in his love for soldering and installation.
